Middle Ground

No one around has the power to change the ground.
Sun on my feet or six feet deep, I choose not to repeat.
Middle ground I found free of fear making me complete.
Neither here nor there, dark or light, the present moment is where I fight.
The past won't see the light, the future free of contrite.
Strife laid down won't suture the middle ground. 
Whether above or below, life continues to crow.
